GOOD DAY L.A.
This painting is hanging in the "Green Room" at KTTV.  The day Leon took it down to the studio, they put it on the air and sent us a video clip of the newscast.  We've been told by people who watch the show on a regular basis, they've shown it a couple of different times.. probably with the "Ding Ding" (boxing bell sound) you hear in the original newscast.   (Jillian and Dorothy bicker a lot)  In the video clip, Jillian keeps trying to give her opinion of why Steve has the black eye, but she never gets around to it.  But the REAL reason Leon gave Steve a black eye is because when Jillian and Dorothy start bickering between themselves, Steve does one of two things. Either he'll side with one and the other will jump all over him, OR he'll try and smooth things over between the two and they BOTH jump all over him. So either way, if the two girls start fighting, Steve GETS IT!

Here, Leon's shown with Steven Bauer. For his portrayal of "Manny", Tony Montana's right hand man in Scarface, Bauer was nominated for a Golden Globe award in 1984 for Best Perform- ance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.

Steven fell in love with Leon's work, wishing he'd paint a picture of Manny too!
